How to Mob Wife Aesthetic, The Chic Way

By now you can’t have missed the buzz about this “mob wife aesthetic” sweeping the interwebs. If you’ve been around since the late 90’s/early aughts, you know this vibe is nothing new. The teased up hair, the fur and faux coats, the animal prints and dark sunglasses are reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw at its best and Carmela Soprano (Tony’s wife, not Adriana seen above) at its worst.

It’s the opposite of the “clean girl” thing that we’ve loved for years, but does that mean it needs to be trashy? If you’re a clean girl craving a touch of the wild side without losing touch - here are some tips to keeping it classy.

Go for the Gold

Gold chain necklaces , bracelets, and/or hoop earrings will glam up a simple outfit instantly. Bonus points for chunky name rings. The more you layer, the more you go mob.

Just add Fur

Faux or no, the coat is half the look. Rather than wearing it with black leather and a lace, try it over a cotton bodysuit and a pair of light jeans.

Big Hair, Big Eyes, Long Nails

Rough dry your hair with some volumizing mousse or texturizing spray and go nuts on a smokey eye.

Adding this to an all black outfit is an instant way to sex up a look without going over the top.
