Whether or not you attend any of Fashion Month, with the ubiquity of the internet, we all know that a full recap of every single show is just a few clicks away. Images straight from the runway are being published with more and more immediacy, giving fashion followers in the middle of Topeka almost as much access as any magazine editor in NYC. In fact, sites like Style.com and Fashion Wire Press offer a full encyclopedia of images from each and every runway show around the world, all year long.

But what we take for granted, is the work that goes into creating these visual catalogues. From New York to Prague and everywhere in between, fashion photographers follow the industry wherever it may lead, in order to capture it all for us folks at home. It’s a job that can be both glamorous, and extraordinarily challenging.

This week, CEO and Founder of Fashion Wire Press, Ed Kavishe took a moment out of his insanely busy schedule to tell us what it’s really like to live the life behind the lens.
