Worth Your Sweat: Yoga Gear & Guidance in NYC & LA

We're one month into 2017... Hooray! So, be honest: How are those New Year’s resolutions treating you? If they include “getting your wellness on” with yoga and meditation; good for you. I’m a kundalini addict myself and vouch for meditation as the best darn habit you can make; the only one that can help you BREAK the bad ones.

To help you stay on the right track, here are my favorite resources in both NYC and LA, plus a roundup of some truly adorable gear and even FREE leggings to keep you motivated for the next 11 months and beyond...

Stay zen friends!

Wanderlust Hollywood - This Instagram worthy yoga studio goes beyond vinyasa basics with kundalini, The Class by Taryn Toomey, meditations and sound baths - plus an organic cafe and wifi for those who want to plug in before tuning out.

Playlist Yoga - A different take on yoga vibes… Less nose rings and printed pants, more snapback caps and sneakers; these classes are fueled by a beat to keep you pumped. Think SoulCycle without the bike.

Liberation Yoga - Take advantage of LA’s perfect weather and do your downward dogs in a magical garden. Worth the trek to Inglewood, this happy-hippie studio also offers bodywork like reiki and massage.

Golden Bridge - No frills, just magic. Be prepared to get weird with some serious Kundalini practices, and learn how to breathe like you’ve never breathed before. Bye bye bad vibes!

Medi Club - Sign up to one of the biggest social meditation movements around. Medi club is wildly popular, and their monthly meetings typically feature organic treats, musicians and unique techniques, plus a chance to mingle with like minded meditators. Or check out their sister project, The Big Quiet for mass meditations in epic locations.

MNDFL - Drop-in meditation classes for zen-seekers of all levels. These guys make sitting-still look stylish while recharging your emotional and physical batteries in a big way.

Yoga Vida - Taking chill to the next level, this inclusive studio feels welcoming rather than intimidating. Rebecca Hajek is my girl, her classes will leave you feeling nourished from the inside out. She also teaches privates and hosts amazing workshops, like the one she’s doing with Yoga Vida in Todos Santos Mexico. Arriba arriba!
